Two Steps Forward, One Step Back: Fail Your Way to Success

failing

You will hit the wall. A baby takes a few steps and then falls. A kid wobbles on a bike and then topples. A woman tries to lose weight and goes from losing 5 pounds a week to three. The difference is kids know something adults don’t—adults stop at the first sign things are stalling.

We ask why we’re not losing the weight. We despair, we get discourage, we feel bad because the truth is adults don’t see obstacles as a sign to move forward. If we take weight for example, a trainer will tell you that once you reach a normal weight it gets harder to lose the same amount of weight you once did when you were larger. A kid falls down, cries, forgets about it and keeps trying to walk.

Learn from children and push harder when good results seem to be waning.
